Property Law Committee

The Property Law Committee meets each month in a relaxed and informal setting to discuss and consider a wide range of issues affecting practitioners. These include property and trust issues, guidance to practitioners on practice matters, assisting the Society as a referee for issues between solicitors, and considering proposed changes to legislation.

The impact of deregulation on practitioners, for example, is kept under review. The committee liases with LINZ, the Wellington City Council and the Real Estate Institute.

Our Spring Seminars have proved popular with practitioners.

A noteworthy aspect of the committees meetings has been the generous support from leading Wellington Law firms in providing the venue and a light luncheon. This certainly assists with the high attendance we get at each meeting.
